Joel Oxley is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of WTOP, WTOP.com and FederalNewsRadio.com.

He joined WTOP in 1992, working his way up the ranks in sales and sales management to General Manager in 1998. In 2000, he became responsible for the newly started FederalNewsRadio.com. Oxley took on the additional role of General Manager for WGMS, and in 2003 was named GM of Z104 Radio. In 2004, Oxley was named Senior Vice President and Market Manager of the DC division.

Joel has led his radio stations to multiple awards including numerous Edward R. Murrow Awards, and National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi and Crystal Awards for excellence in community service. Under his watch, WTOP has consistently been the top revenue generator among all radio stations.
